Sherri Bloomer combines metalsmithing with her love of history, mythology, and the natural world. Her work explores themes from the celestial to the botanical, drawing deeply from Art Nouveau, Gothic, Greco-Roman, and Celtic Revival styles, thus her tagline of, "Jewelry with a connection to the past." Sherri's jewelry line is called, "Contemporary Relics" and is made using antique tools from the 1800s - early 1900s, which is what the "Relics" in her name refers to. These tools preserve long-lost designs that Sherri stamps one-by-one in precious metals, reviving their beauty for today's "old souls." She works in sterling silver, 14k gold, bronze, copper, brass, and pewter, at times accented with freshwater pearls, ancient Roman glass, and handpicked gemstones. Crafted with care, each design draws from the past, lives in the present, and invites connection across time.
