Born and raised in Oregon; River Resio is a Sonora based artist with a passion for art, poetry, and all things with soul. She has a flare for the strange and eccentric and creates her pieces focusing on movement, flow, full saturation, and clean lines.
With acrylic paint as the medium of choice, each piece is free handed and follows no rules or guidelines to allow complete artistic freedom. Each piece has over 40 hours of brush to canvas time, creating works of art that are near and dear to her heart.
She took many art classes throughout college but never felt like she truly found her niche until just a handful of years ago when hard times hit and she decided to let loose on the largest canvas available for purchase. “After finishing that piece I knew I had found my true love, and that my greatest art comes from the willingness to be vulnerable.”
She says “one of my favorite parts of being an artist is looking back on my childhood and remembering the countless days I would come home after school to an art station set up for me by my sweet mother. It’s like she always knew this was what I was meant to do.
