Mike comes to oil painting late in his life after spending many years of poetry, sculpture, jewelry making, ceramics and photography. He seeks the hidden beauty found in ordinary, overlooked and the mundane; the mystery within a shadowed wall; stories tangled in the laces of old shoes.

Mike has won numerous awards in both Nevada & California for his poetry, sculpture and photography.

Mike is a past member of the board of Directors of the Brewery Art Center in Carson City, Nevada. He is also past Vice- President of the Mother Lode Art Association.
