Watercolor Collage
Lynn’s watercolor collages are constantly changing. Exploring new textures, trying out new color combinations, expressing different moods, each piece has it’s own story. Using multiple layers of unique, hand-textured and colored papers, Lynn constructs her images layer by layer. Her color choices set the mood of the scene and draw the viewer into the painting, inviting them to explore the detail and textures of the surface. The result is an image full of energy and depth. Lynn earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California and continued with graduate work at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. For over 20 years she owned the Alyson Design Group, a graphic design company specializing in magazine and marketing design. Since beginning her painting career Lynn’s watercolor collages have won numerous awards in both regional, national and international juried exhibitions. She has been published in Watercolor Artist Magazine and Palette Magazine, in the North Light Publication, Splash 12, Celebrating Artistic Vision and Splash 21, Capturing Mood. Lynn is a Signature Member of San Diego Watercolor Society.
