Kate Frederick, as a precocious kid, dabbled in just about every form of creative media from mud to more refined forms of art materials. “I cannot remember a time when I wasn’t making something to hang on a wall”. She went through several educational majors and finally ended up studying art formally at San Francisco State and then through travels, self study and lots of workshops. Kate’s art is eclectic and filled with color and still meanders through many media. She is inspired by the colors and forms of nature and always exploring something new. Kate is active in the Art Councils of the area and has served as president of the Arts of Bear Valley. She has produced and shown art for the last 25 years. Her home and studio are in Hathaway Pines, and filled with all kinds of bright and bold work.
