Galen Rose Martin was 4 years old when she started visiting art shows, stores and studios. Her parents opened an art center in which Galen learned much about art from many perspectives. Galen became interested in Psychology and earned her Masters' degree in the field which led to her current career as a Complementary Therapy Art Program Facilitator for cancer survivors and caregivers. Currently she lives on a small farm in California's Central Valley where most of her inspiration comes from local landscapes and her farm. Galen says "Painting these subjects reminds me to enjoy life's simple pleasures- things that are easily taken for granted. I'm grateful."
