I was born in Venezuela to Italian parents who then immigrated to the United States. We settled in the Bay Area of California where I realized my life passions were art and engineering. After high school, I began my engineering career focusing on Robotics/Mechanics. I eventually started my own firm, producing products that ranged from agricultural and manufacturing, to scientific and medical. My creative skills resulted in receiving the 2003 Medical Design of the Year for my design of the first HIV early detection kit utilizing oral swabs. Although my career took up much of my time, I never abandoned art. I worked consistently on pieces utilizing my imagination and stories from childhood. Initially, I focused on Pointillism, a slow, time consuming process using distinct dots of ink to form various shapes and hues in black and white. This technique originated in the 1800’s during the Impression Period. In the last 12 years I have branched out to include colors in my work using Pastels, Watercolors and Acrylics. I vary my art subjects depending on my mood. From Western to Fantasy, Portraits to Landscape, all my work is a product of my inner vision and imaginings. I hope you enjoy my Art.
